Nessus Plugins Released Today

July 12, 2005 · Columbia, MD

A batch of critical vulnerabilities affecting different products has been fixed today. Here are some of the plugins we wrote:

This month, Microsoft released 3 security bulletins for various client side flaws. They also fixed a denial of service vulnerability in Outlook Express. Plugins 186791868018681 and 18682 test for these vulnerabilities. As these are client-side flaws, registry access is required to check for these flaws

Firefox 1.0.5 has been released. If fixes a handful of vulnerabilities. Plugin 18689 tests that Windows clients have upgraded their copy of Firefox.

Mac OS X 10.4.2 has been released. It fixes problems in Dashboard and TCP/IP. Plugin 18683 makes sure that all users of Mac OS X 10.4 are running the newest and greatest version of this operating system.
