Jack Huffard, president and COO, among 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs at 2017 Builders + Innovators Summit
Tenable™, Inc., the Cyber Exposure company, today announced that Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) has recognized Jack Huffard, co-founder, president and COO, as one of the 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs of 2017 at its Builders + Innovators Summit in Santa Barbara, California.
Goldman Sachs selected Huffard as one of 100 entrepreneurs from multiple industries to be honored at the two-day event. At Tenable, Huffard is responsible for helping to drive the company’s corporate strategy, global operations and organizational expansion. Tenable first defined the vulnerability management market and built a global juggernaut with Nessus®, the world's most widely deployed vulnerability assessment solution. Through visionary technology and unrelenting innovation, the company is revolutionizing how organizations of all sizes manage, measure and reduce cyber risk across the entire modern attack surface by pioneering Cyber Exposure, ensuring that cyber risk is quantified and measured alongside every other business risk. Tenable is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing private cybersecurity companies.
“In our digital, global and hyper-connected economy, it’s obvious that cybersecurity investments and strategies are central to any organization’s strategic objectives and long-term planning. But CISOs have consistently struggled to accurately represent cyber risk in non-technical, business terms, making it difficult to provide context and actionable insight to the c-suite and the board of directors,” said Huffard. “At Tenable, we’re committed to driving a new level of dialogue between security teams and business leaders and this starts with the adoption of Cyber Exposure so that they can understand which areas of the business are secure or exposed, where to focus precious resources and any required tradeoffs. I’m very honored to have received this recognition from Goldman Sachs, which I share with the entire leadership team and all of Tenable, and look forward to our team’s continued work to help organizations everywhere understand and reduce their cyber risk.”
"We are pleased to recognize Jack Huffard as one of the most intriguing entrepreneurs of 2017," said David M. Solomon, president and co-COO at Goldman Sachs. "This is the sixth year that we’ve hosted the Builders + Innovators Summit where emerging business leaders gather to discuss their common interests in building prosperous organizations."
For more than 145 years, Goldman Sachs has been advising and financing entrepreneurs as they launch and grow their businesses. In addition to honoring 100 entrepreneurs, the Summit consists of general sessions and clinics led by Goldman Sachs experts, seasoned entrepreneurs, academics and business leaders as well as resident scholars.
