Phillip Hayes

Phillip Hayes, Tenable's deputy chief information security officer, leads the company's security program, working across the organization to protect Tenable, its customers, and the products they rely on. He partners closely with product leadership to shape Tenable's capabilities and roadmap, and he serves as a trusted ambassador with customers, industry partners, and other stakeholders ranging from engineering teams to the Board. Phillip has more than 19 years of cybersecurity experience across federal and commercial organizations. He joined Tenable in 2018 and has since expanded the security organization's technical capabilities, improved its program maturity, integrated multiple acquisitions, supported multiple product launches and built high-performing teams. Prior to joining Tenable, Phillip built an information security engineering team at a fintech company and delivered cybersecurity services to federal and commercial clients at a Big Four consulting firm just prior. Today, Phillip leads high-impact projects and guides the security program as regulatory requirements grow and AI reshapes the threat landscape.
