Tenable®, Inc., the Cyber Exposure company, has appointed Roger Scheer as Regional Vice President of Central Europe. Based in Germany, Scheer will manage Tenable’s operations in the region, furthering its strategic initiatives in the enterprise security market, and continue developing its channel activities and relationships. Scheer has extensive cybersecurity experience and over 25 years in IT sales and sales leadership positions.
As organizations continue to face unprecedented cybersecurity challenges brought on by remote work, the ability to see, predict and reduce risk across the attack surface has never been so important. With Scheer’s expertise and strategic leadership, Tenable is well positioned to bring its risk-based vulnerability management offerings to organizations across the region, enabling security teams to address the most business-critical issues first.
“Recent events have seen organizations grappling to address their expanded threatscape while facing increased cyberattacks,” said David Cummins, Vice President of EMEA, Tenable. “Roger’s deep understanding of the cybersecurity industry will be invaluable in helping our customers and partners across the region navigate the cyber threats they face in these challenging times. In addition, his proven experience in defining business strategies, offering leadership with passion and motivation and developing talented teams will be instrumental in executing Tenable’s strategic and operational initiatives. We are delighted to welcome Roger to the team.”
Over his 25-year career, Scheer has held senior positions with EMC Deutschland GmbH, RSA (The Security Division of EMC), Palo Alto Networks and Veritas.
“Cybersecurity has never been so instrumental in ensuring organisations remain functional,” said Scheer. “Tenable’s industry-leading technology helps security teams achieve a unified view of their entire attack surface, across IT and operational technology, whether in the cloud, on-premises or a hybrid environment. I’m looking forward to delivering on Tenable’s vision in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and the wider Central Europe region, to help organisations understand, address and ultimately reduce their cyber exposure.”
