The Risk Management in Technology (RMiT) exposure draft published by Bank Negara Malaysia on 5 September 2018 is intended to formalize the development of consistent risk management programs in all Malaysian Financial institutions.The impact is broad and affects licensed local and international banks, insurers, takaful operations, financial institutions, issuers of e-money and operators of designated payment systems.
The purpose of the policy is to help Malaysian Financial institutions establish the necessary frameworks, management structures, policies and procedures to ensure that said institutions maintain their cyberexposure to a level commensurate to their risk.
