Tenable Network Security, Inc., the leader in unified security monitoring and creator of the popular and award-winning Nessus vulnerability scanner, today announced that Tenable’s Nessus 3 received recognition in the 2008 SC Magazine Awards program by being named a finalist in the Reader Trust Award for Best Audit/Vulnerability Assessment Solution.
Named as a finalist in the SC Magazine Awards program in the Reader Trust Award for “Best Audit/Vulnerability Assessment Solution”, Tenable’s Nessus 3 was among more than 600 entries submitted in more than 30 technology categories. Finalists of the SC Magazine Awards program are determined through voting conducted by the publication’s readers. Readers vote for what they view as the solution that is most effective at helping them to address the problems for which it was designed.
Winners will be announced at an exclusive awards event to be held in San Francisco on April 8, 2008.
“Tenable is honored to be recognized both by SC Magazine and its readers. Tenable continues to strive to deliver innovative techniques and products to assist security practitioners in monitoring the security of their networks,” said Ron Gula, CEO of Tenable Network Security.
In addition, Tenable’s Nessus 3 and Passive Vulnerability Scanner were featured in the December 2007 issue as “Best of 2007” products in the Vulnerability Assessment category. Tenable was the only vendor to be recognized for two products in the same category.
