Tenable’s CSO, Marcus Ranum, to Keynote Source Boston 2009

Security Industry Experts from Tenable to provide insightful presentations at the Source Boston 2009 Conference in Boston 

Tenable Network Security, Inc., the leader in Unified Security Monitoring™ and creator of the popular and award-winning Nessus® vulnerability scanner, announces that Marcus Ranum, Tenable’s CSO, will be providing the closing keynote address for the Source Conference 2009 in Boston. In addition, Ron Gula, Tenable’s CEO and CTO, and Carole Fennelly, Tenable’s Director of Content, will provide the following presentations as part of the popular track sessions.

“The Anatomy of Security Disasters”
Who:   Marcus Ranum, CSO, Tenable Network Security
When: Friday, March 13, 2009, 9:00-10:00am 

Mr. Ranum is a world-renowned expert on security system design and implementation. Since the late 1980's, he has designed a number of groundbreaking security products including the DEC SEAL, the TIS firewall toolkit, the Gauntlet firewall, and NFR's Network Flight Recorder intrusion detection system. He has been involved in every level of operations of a security product business, from developer, to founder and CEO of NFR.

Since co-founding Tenable in 2002, Mr. Gula has been CEO and CTO at Tenable, maker of the world renowned Nessus Vulnerability Scanner and Unified Security Monitoring enterprise solution. As CEO/CTO of Tenable, he is responsible for product strategy, research and development, and product design and development. Prior to Tenable, Mr. Gula was the original author of the Dragon IDS and CTO of Network Security Wizards which was acquired by Enterasys Networks.

Who:   Carole Fennelly, Director of Content, Tenable Network Security
When: Wednesday, March 12, 2009, 4:15pm to 5:30pm

Carole Fennelly is an information security professional with over 25 years of hands-on experience in the information security field. She is the author of numerous articles for IT World, SunWorld and Information Security Magazine, as well as a frequent speaker at the Black Hat Briefings. Ms. Fennelly is presently the Director of Content and Documentation for Tenable Network Security.
