Tenable Network Security, Inc., a global leader transforming security technology for the business needs of tomorrow, announced today that it has hired security industry veteran Dave Cole as chief product officer, responsible for leading continued technology innovation and product excellence.
“The evolution of enterprise IT is advancing at an unprecedented rate,” said Renaud Deraison, chief technology officer, Tenable Network Security. “As organizations continue to deploy cloud, hybrid and on-premises solutions, continuous asset and vulnerability discovery is critical for visibility of the entire enterprise IT infrastructure. As Tenable executes on our long term strategy to transform security technology for the emerging IT landscape, Dave Cole’s history of driving product innovation and his experience building highly scalable systems make him a valuable addition to the Tenable executive team.”
Before joining Tenable, Cole served as chief product officer at CrowdStrike, where he drove the design, development and support of the company’s cloud-based endpoint security product. Prior to that, he led product management for Norton at Symantec. As a seasoned product leader, Cole also held senior product positions at Foundstone and Internet Security Systems.
“The vulnerability management market is poised for a fundamental shift and resurgence in strategic importance given the widespread adoption of cloud services, DevOps and public cloud,” said Cole. “Tenable is in a great position to lead this market transition, and I am excited to help the company deliver its next-generation technology to customers.”
