Synopsis

The remote Slackware Linux host is missing a security update to xorg-server.

Description

The version of xorg-server installed on the remote host is prior to 1.20.14 / 21.1.20 / 21.1.4 / 24.1.9. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the SSA:2025-302-01 advisory.

 New xorg-server packages are available for Slackware 15.0 and -current to fix security issues.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the xorg-server security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the affected xorg-server package.
