Synopsis

The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLED12 / SLES12 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2021:2080-1 advisory.

 - CVE-2021-33516: Fixed a DNS rebinding, which could trick the browser into triggering actions against local UPnP services (bsc#1186590).

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the SUSE security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libgupnp-1_0-4, libgupnp-devel and / or typelib-1_0-GUPnP-1_0 packages.
