Description

According to its self-reported version number, the detected WordPress application is affected by multiple vulnerabilities :

- A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in post previews by contributors.

- A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in stored comments.

- An unspecified issue with validation and sanitization of a URL which could lead to an open redirect.

- A reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in media uploads functionality.

- A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in shortcode previews.

- A reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the dashboard.

- An issue with URL sanitization that can lead to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

Solution

Update to WordPress version 3.9.28 or latest.
