WP GDPR Compliance Plugin for WordPress < 1.4.3 Multiple Vulnerabilities

critical Web App Scanning Plugin ID 98548

Synopsis

WP GDPR Compliance Plugin for WordPress < 1.4.3 Multiple Vulnerabilities

Description

The WordPress WP GDPR Compliance Plugin installed on the remote host is affected by an arbitrary option udpate vulnerability and an arbitrary action call vulnerability due to a failure to properly sanitize user-supplied input to the 'save_setting' parameter of the 'wp-admin/admin-ajax.php' script. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can leverage this issue to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code on the affected host.

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to WP GDPR Compliance Plugin for WordPress 1.4.3 or latest.
