Webmin < 2.641 Multiple VulnerabilitiesDescription
According to its self-reported version, the Webmin install hosted on the remote host is prior to 2.641. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:- A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the email template description field of the System and Server Status module, allowing low-privileged authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the browser context of administrators (CVE-2026-22678).
- An Information Disclosure vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to read the contents of any file ending in .conf within module directories, due to a bypassable regex pattern (CVE-2026-56021).
Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
