Angular 20.x < 20.3.16 Cross-Site Scripting

Description

According to its self-reported version number, Angular is prior to 19.0.0, 19.x prior to 19.2.18, 20.x prior to 20.3.16 or 21.x prior to 21.0.7. It is, therefore, affected by a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Angular template compiler. The href and xlink:href attributes of SVG <script> elements are not classified as a resource URL context, allowing user-controlled data bound to these attributes to load and execute malicious scripts. (CVE-2026-22610)

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Angular version 20.3.16 or later.
