Angular 21.x < 21.2.16 Multiple Vulnerabilities

Description

According to its self-reported version number, Angular is prior to 19.0.0, 19.x prior to 19.2.25, 20.x prior to 20.3.24 or 21.x prior to 21.2.16. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

- A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the DOM emulation dependency (domino) of @angular/platform-server. A Unicode index alignment bug in the raw-text element escaping logic allows a payload containing an astral character followed by a closing tag (such as </script>) to remain unescaped in the SSR output. (CVE-2026-50555)

- A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the DOM emulation dependency (domino) of @angular/platform-server. The content of <noscript> elements is not escaped during SSR serialization, allowing an injected </noscript> closing tag to break out of the element and execute a script. (CVE-2026-50556)

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Angular version 21.2.16 or later.
