Angular 20.x < 20.3.28 Information Disclosure

medium Web App Scanning Plugin ID 115583

Synopsis

Angular 20.x < 20.3.28 Information Disclosure

Description

According to its self-reported version number, Angular is prior to 20.0.0, 20.x prior to 20.3.28, 21.x prior to 21.2.20 or 22.x prior to 22.1.1. It is, therefore, affected by an information disclosure vulnerability in @angular/common when SSR and hydration are enabled with a hierarchical HttpClient configuration using withRequestsMadeViaParent(). The HttpTransferCache eligibility check is performed before the parent interceptors add credentials, causing credentialed user-specific responses to be cached in the serialized transfer state. (CVE-2026-88059)

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Angular version 20.3.28 or later.
