Synopsis

Zimbra Collaboration < 10.1.20 Remote Code Execution

Description

According to its banner, the version of Zimbra Collaboration running on the remote host is prior to 10.1.20. It is, therefore, affected by a Remote Code Execution due to improper sanitization of untrusted input during SNMP notification processing, an unauthenticated attacker can send specially crafted SMTP requests that may result in execution of arbitrary operating system commands as the Zimbra user.

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Zimbra Collaboration version 10.1.20 or later.
