Grafana < 12.0.9 Improper Authorization

Description

According to its self-reported version, the Grafana install hosted on the remote host is prior to 12.0.9, or 12.1.x prior to 12.1.6, or 12.2.x prior to 12.2.4, or 12.3.x prior to 12.3.3. It is, therefore, affected by a cross-tenant legacy correlation disclosure and deletion vulnerability.

- Due to a backward compatibility condition allowing org_id = 0 records to be returned across organizations, a user with datasource management privileges could read and permanently delete legacy correlation data belonging to another organization.

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update to Grafana version 12.0.9 or later.
