Apache Tomcat 10.1.0-M7 < 10.1.52 Incomplete OCSP Verification Checks

Description

The version of Apache Tomcat installed on the remote host is 9.0.83 prior to 9.0.115, 10.1.0-M7 prior to 10.1.52 or 11.0.0-M1 prior to 11.0.18. It is, therefore, affected by a incomplete OCSP verification checks. When using an OCSP responder, Tomcat's FFM integration with OpenSSL did not complete verification or freshness checks on the OCSP response which could allow certificate revocation to be bypassed.

Note that the scanner has not attempted to exploit these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Apache Tomcat version 10.1.52 or later.
