high Web App Scanning Plugin ID 114908

Synopsis

PHP 8.4.x < 8.4.10 Multiple Vulnerabilities

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the version of PHP installed on the remote host is 8.1.x prior to 8.1.33, 8.2.x prior to 8.2.29, 8.3.x prior to 8.3.23, or 8.4.x prior to 8.4.10. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

- pgsql extension does not check for errors during escaping. (CVE-2025-1735)

- NULL Pointer Dereference in PHP SOAP Extension via Large XML Namespace Prefix. (CVE-2025-6491)

- Null byte termination in hostnames. (CVE-2025-1220) Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to PHP version 8.4.10 or later.
