critical Web App Scanning Plugin ID 114213

Synopsis

BuddyForms Plugin for WordPress < 2.7.8 Insecure Deserialization

Description

The WordPress BuddyForms Plugin installed on the remote host is affected by an unauthenticated insecure deserialization in the function buddyforms_upload_image_from_url() which allowed for the deserialization of untrusted input via the url parameter.

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to BuddyForms Plugin for WordPress 2.7.8 or latest.
