Synopsis

Atlassian Confluence 7.13.15 < 7.13.19 Tomcat Dependancy Vulnerability

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the Atlassian Confluence application running on the remote host is 7.13.15 prior to 7.13.19, 7.19.7 prior to 7.19.11 or 8.1.1 prior to 8.4.1. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability in the bundled Apache Tomcat. If non-default HTTP connector settings are used and maxParameterCount can be reached using query string parameters, attackers may bypass upload limits leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) attack.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Confluence version 7.13.19 or later.
