LearnDash Plugin for WordPress < 4.6.0.1 Insecure Direct Object Reference

high Web App Scanning Plugin ID 113968

Synopsis

LearnDash Plugin for WordPress < 4.6.0.1 Insecure Direct Object Reference

Description

The WordPress LearnDash Plugin installed on the remote host is affected by an Insecure Direct Object Reference. This is due to the plugin providing user-controlled access to objects, letting a user bypass authorization and access system resources. This makes it possible for attackers with existing account access at any level, to change user passwords and potentially take over administrator accounts.

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to LearnDash Plugin for WordPress 4.6.0.1 or latest.
