Atlassian Jira < 8.3.2 Improper Authorization Via ATST Plugin

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the instance of Atlassian Jira hosted on the remote web server is prior to version 8.3.2 It is, therefore, shipped with a vulnerable version of the Atlassian Troubleshooting and Support plugin (ATST), which permitted unprivileged users to initialte log scans and send the results to a user-specified email address due to a missing authorization check. The email message may contain configuration information about the application that the plugin is installed into.

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Jira version 3.6.0 or later.
