Atlassian Jira < 7.1.9 Multiple Vulnerabilities

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the instance of Atlassian Jira hosted on the remote web server is prior to . It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

- A vulnerability in the /auditing/settings endpoint, which permits attackers to perform Cross Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks against this endpoint (CVE-2016-4319).

- A vulnerability in the /auditing/settings endpoint, which permits attackers to inject arbitrary HTML or JavaScript via a Cross Site Scripting (XSS) attack in project/ViewDefaultProjectRoleActors.jspa using the role name parameter (CVE-2016-4318).

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Jira version 7.1.9 or later.
