SugarCRM < 11.0.5 / 12.0.x < 12.0.2 Remote Code Execution

Description

SugarCRM versions < 11.0.5 (Professional, Enterprise, Ultimate, Sell, Serve) and 12.0.x < 12.0.2 (Enterprise, Sell, Serve) suffer from an authentication bypass vulnerability, allowing an attacker to upload a malicious code through the 'EmailTemplates' module. By leveraging this vulnerability, an attacker could achieve Remote Code Execution on the target application.

Solution

Apply vendor hotfix 91155 for supported versions 11.0.x to 11.0.4, or 12.0.x to 12.0.1 or update at least to fixed releases 11.0.5 or 12.0.2.
