medium Web App Scanning Plugin ID 112867

Synopsis

Atlassian Confluence < 6.13.11 Improper Authorization

Description

According to its self-reported version number, the Atlassian Confluence application running on the remote host is prior to 6.13.11 or 6.14.x < 7.3.3. It is, therefore, affected by an improper authorization check vulnerability allowing remote attackers with administrator privileges to edit existing applinks without passing WebSudo.

Note that the scanner has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Confluence version 6.13.11 or later.
