New! Plugin Severity Now Using CVSS v3

The calculated severity for Plugins has been updated to use CVSS v3 by default. Plugins that do not have a CVSS v3 score will fall back to CVSS v2 for calculating severity. Severity display preferences can be toggled in the settings dropdown.

Synopsis

The remote host has a web browser installed that may contain multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

Starting from version 15, the Opera web browser uses Google's open-source Chromium rendering engine. Versions older than Opera 16 do not contain the myriad of security fixes from the contemporary version of Chromium, which is version 29. Users are advised to upgrade to Opera 16 or the latest version of Opera for security updates.

Solution

Upgrade to Opera 16.0 or later.
