Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

The remote Cisco IOS XR device is affected by a denial of service vulnerability due to improper processing of malformed IPv6 packets carrying extension headers. A remote attacker, using a specially crafted packet, can cause a reload of the line card, resulting in a denial of service condition.

Solution
