New! Plugin Severity Now Using CVSS v3

The calculated severity for Plugins has been updated to use CVSS v3 by default. Plugins that do not have a CVSS v3 score will fall back to CVSS v2 for calculating severity. Severity display preferences can be toggled in the settings dropdown.

Synopsis

The remote database server is affected by a denial of service vulnerability.

Description

The version of PostgreSQL installed on the remote host is 9.1.x prior to 9.1.9 or 9.2.x prior to 9.2.4. As such, it is potentially affected by a denial of service vulnerability. An unprivileged user can run commands that could interfere with in-progress backups.

Solution

Upgrade to PostgreSQL 9.1.9 / 9.2.4 or later.
