New! Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR)
Tenable calculates a dynamic VPR for every vulnerability. VPR combines vulnerability information with threat intelligence and machine learning algorithms to predict which vulnerabilities are most likely to be exploited in attacks. Read more about what VPR is and how it's different from CVSS.

SynopsisThe remote Ubuntu host is missing one or more security-related patches.
DescriptionMaksymilian Arciemowicz reported that a flaw in the fnmatch() implementation in the Apache Portable Runtime (APR) library could allow an attacker to cause a denial of service. This can be demonstrated in a remote denial of service attack against mod_autoindex in the Apache web server. (CVE-2011-0419)
Is was discovered that the fix for CVE-2011-0419 introduced a different flaw in the fnmatch() implementation that could also result in a denial of service. (CVE-2011-1928).
Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.
