High Nessus Plugin ID 43621

New! Vulnerability Priority Rating (VPR)

Tenable calculates a dynamic VPR for every vulnerability. VPR combines vulnerability information with threat intelligence and machine learning algorithms to predict which vulnerabilities are most likely to be exploited in attacks. Read more about what VPR is and how it's different from CVSS.

VPR Score: 5.9

The remote SuSE 10 host is missing a security-related patch.

This update of poppler fixes two security issues :

- Integer overflow in the ObjectStream::ObjectStream function in in Xpdf 3.x before 3.02pl4 and Poppler before 0.12.1, as used in GPdf, kdegraphics KPDF, CUPS pdftops, and teTeX, might allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted PDF document that triggers a heap-based buffer overflow.

- A indexing error in FoFiType1::parse() was fixed that could be used by attackers to corrupt memory and potentially execute code. (CVE-2009-4035)
