Synopsis

The remote SUSE host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES15 / SLES_SAP15 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2026:5098-1 advisory.

 - CVE-2026-40354: file deletion via symlink attack (bsc#1262045).
 - CVE-2026-55888: arbitrary file access due to `SaveFiles` `files` option path traversal (bsc#1287724).
 - CVE-2026-55889: drag-and-drop and copy-paste theft due to predictable `FileTransfer` key (bsc#1287725).

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected xdg-desktop-portal, xdg-desktop-portal-devel and / or xdg-desktop-portal-lang packages.
