Synopsis

The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES15 / SLES_SAP15 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2026:4804-1 advisory.

 This update for pgvector fixes the following issue:

 - CVE-2026-103484: database users with the ability to create an IVFFlat index can write data out-of- bounds, which can lead to arbitrary code execution (bsc#1284129).

 Changes for pgvector:

 - Updated to version 0.8.7

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected pgvector-devel, postgresql16-pgvector, postgresql17-pgvector and / or postgresql18-pgvector packages.
