The AlmaLinux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The AlmaLinux 9.2 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the TuxCare ALMALINUX9.2:CLSA-2026:1791305177 advisory.

 - Privilege escalation in the WebDriver BiDi component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 155 and Thunderbird 155. (CVE-2026-84128)

 - Internally found bugs present in Thunderbird 154. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption or another security-relevant defect and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 155 and Thunderbird 155. (CVE-2026-84142)

 - Use-after-free in the Audio/Video: Web Codecs component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156, Firefox ESR 140.16, Firefox ESR 153.3, Thunderbird 156, Thunderbird 140.16, and Thunderbird 153.3.
 (CVE-2026-92005)

 - Privilege escalation due to incorrect boundary conditions in the Graphics: CanvasWebGL component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156, Firefox ESR 115.41, Firefox ESR 140.16, Firefox ESR 153.3, Thunderbird 156, Thunderbird 140.16, and Thunderbird 153.3. (CVE-2026-92007, CVE-2026-92008, CVE-2026-92009, CVE-2026-92010, CVE-2026-92013)

 - Privilege escalation in the WebExtensions component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156, Firefox ESR 115.41, Firefox ESR 140.16, Firefox ESR 153.3, Thunderbird 156, Thunderbird 140.16, and Thunderbird 153.3. (CVE-2026-92015)

Solution

Update the affected thunderbird package based on the guidance in TuxCare advisory ALMALINUX9.2:CLSA-2026:1791305177.
