Description

The AlmaLinux 9.2 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the TuxCare ALMALINUX9.2:CLSA-2026:1783517292 advisory.

 - Use-after-free in the JavaScript Engine component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 148, Firefox ESR 115.33, Firefox ESR 140.8, Thunderbird 148, and Thunderbird 140.8. (CVE-2026-2763)

 - JIT miscompilation, use-after-free in the JavaScript Engine: JIT component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 148, Firefox ESR 115.33, Firefox ESR 140.8, Thunderbird 148, and Thunderbird 140.8.
 (CVE-2026-2764)

 - Use-after-free in the DOM: Bindings (WebIDL) component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 148, Firefox ESR 115.33, Firefox ESR 140.8, Thunderbird 148, and Thunderbird 140.8. (CVE-2026-2770)

Solution

Update the affected thunderbird package based on the guidance in TuxCare advisory ALMALINUX9.2:CLSA-2026:1783517292.
