Description

The AlmaLinux 9.2 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the TuxCare ALMALINUX9.2:CLSA-2026:1783601793 advisory.

 - Incorrect boundary conditions in the Graphics: ImageLib component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 148, Firefox ESR 115.33, Firefox ESR 140.8, Thunderbird 148, and Thunderbird 140.8. (CVE-2026-2759)

 - Sandbox escape due to incorrect boundary conditions in the DOM: Core & HTML component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 148, Firefox ESR 115.33, Firefox ESR 140.8, Thunderbird 148, and Thunderbird 140.8.
 (CVE-2026-2778)

 - Sandbox escape due to incorrect boundary conditions, integer overflow in the XPCOM component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 149, Firefox ESR 115.34, Firefox ESR 140.9, Thunderbird 149, and Thunderbird 140.9. (CVE-2026-4689)

Solution

Update the affected thunderbird package based on the guidance in TuxCare advisory ALMALINUX9.2:CLSA-2026:1783601793.
