Description

The AlmaLinux 9.2 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the TuxCare ALMALINUX9.2:CLSA-2025:1756932817 advisory.

 - Node.js versions which bundle an unpatched version of OpenSSL or run against a dynamically linked version of OpenSSL which are unpatched are vulnerable to the Marvin Attack - https://people.redhat.com/~hkario/marvin/, if PCKS #1 v1.5 padding is allowed when performing RSA descryption using a private key. (CVE-2023-46809)

 - A security flaw in Node.js allows a bypass of network import restrictions. By embedding non-network imports in data URLs, an attacker can execute arbitrary code, compromising system security. Verified on various platforms, the vulnerability is mitigated by forbidding data URLs in network imports. Exploiting this flaw can violate network import security, posing a risk to developers and servers. (CVE-2024-22020)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages based on the guidance in TuxCare advisory ALMALINUX9.2:CLSA-2025:1756932817.
