The AlmaLinux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The AlmaLinux 9.2 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the TuxCare ALMALINUX9.2:CLSA-2026:1782977868 advisory.

 - tpm2-tools is the source repository for the Trusted Platform Module (TPM2.0) tools. A malicious attacker can generate arbitrary quote data which is not detected by `tpm2 checkquote`. This issue was patched in version 5.7. (CVE-2024-29038)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected tpm2-tools package based on the guidance in TuxCare advisory ALMALINUX9.2:CLSA-2026:1782977868.
