The AlmaLinux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The AlmaLinux 9.2 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the TuxCare ALMALINUX9.2:CLSA-2026:1788870088 advisory.

 - A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability was found in the libopensc OpenPGP driver. A crafted USB device or smart card with malicious responses to the APDUs during the card enrollment process using the `pkcs15-init` tool may lead to out-of-bound rights, possibly resulting in arbitrary code execution.
 (CVE-2024-8443)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected opensc package based on the guidance in TuxCare advisory ALMALINUX9.2:CLSA-2026:1788870088.
