Description

The AlmaLinux 9.2 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the TuxCare ALMALINUX9.2:CLSA-2026:1783970136 advisory.

 - Insufficient checks when processing graphics shared memory could have led to memory corruption. This could be leveraged by an attacker to perform a sandbox escape. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 129, Firefox ESR < 115.14, Firefox ESR < 128.1, Thunderbird < 128.1, and Thunderbird < 115.14. (CVE-2024-7519)

 - JIT miscompilation in the JavaScript Engine: JIT component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 146, Firefox ESR 115.31, Firefox ESR 140.6, Thunderbird 146, and Thunderbird 140.6. (CVE-2025-14324)

 - Incorrect boundary conditions in the WebRTC: Audio/Video component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 148, Firefox ESR 115.33, Firefox ESR 140.8, Thunderbird 148, and Thunderbird 140.8.
 (CVE-2026-2757)

 - Use-after-free in the JavaScript: GC component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 148, Firefox ESR 115.33, Firefox ESR 140.8, Thunderbird 148, and Thunderbird 140.8. (CVE-2026-2758)

 - Sandbox escape due to incorrect boundary conditions in the Graphics: WebRender component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 148, Firefox ESR 115.33, Firefox ESR 140.8, Thunderbird 148, and Thunderbird 140.8. (CVE-2026-2760)

Solution

Update the affected thunderbird package based on the guidance in TuxCare advisory ALMALINUX9.2:CLSA-2026:1783970136.
