NewStart CGSL MAIN 7.02 : pytorch Vulnerability (NS-SA-2026-0105)

high Nessus Plugin ID 343553

Synopsis

The remote NewStart CGSL host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The remote NewStart CGSL host, running version MAIN 7.02, has pytorch packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability:

- PyTorch is a Python package that provides tensor computation. Prior to version 2.10.0, a vulnerability in PyTorch's `weights_only` unpickler allows an attacker to craft a malicious checkpoint file (`.pth`) that, when loaded with `torch.load(..., weights_only=True)`, can corrupt memory and potentially lead to arbitrary code execution. Version 2.10.0 fixes the issue. (CVE-2026-24747)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the vulnerable CGSL pytorch packages. Note that updated packages may not be available yet. Please contact ZTE for more information.
