Description

The remote openSUSE 16 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the openSUSE- SU-2026:21706-1 advisory.

 This update for libgpg-error fixes the following issue:

 - Out-of-bounds read in `_gpgrt_vfnameconcat` of `stringutils.c` when the `GPGRT_FCONCAT_SYSCONF` flag is used (bsc#1263078).

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the SUSE security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libgpg-error-devel and / or libgpg-error0 packages.
