Synopsis

A business analytics solution installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Oracle Essbase installed on the remote host is missing a security patch from the July 2026 Critical Patch Update (CPU). It is, therefore, affected by:

 - Apache Log4j's JsonTemplateLayout, in versions up to and including 2.25.3, produces invalid JSON output when log events contain non-finite floating-point values (NaN, Infinity, or -Infinity), which are prohibited by RFC 8259.
 This may cause downstream log processing systems to reject or fail to index affected records. (CVE-2025-68161)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Apply the appropriate patch according to the July 2026 Oracle Critical Patch Update advisory.
