The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES12 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE- SU-2026:3168-1 advisory.

This update for openexr fixes the following issue

- CVE-2026-54920: unchecked integer overflows in Image::resize() followed by an exception can lead to an invalid delete via uninitialized pointers (bsc#1269703).

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libIlmImf-Imf_2_1-21, openexr and / or openexr-devel packages.
