Synopsis

The remote AlmaLinux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote AlmaLinux 10 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the ALSA-2026:41892 advisory.

 * libtiff: TIFFRasterScanlineSize64 produce too-big size and could cause OOM (CVE-2023-52355)
 * libtiff: libtiff: Heap-based buffer overflow via crafted PixarLog-compressed TIFF image (CVE-2026-12912)


 Bug Fix(es) and Enhancement(s):

 * Reintroduce the `tiffcp -i` option (JIRA:AlmaLinux-185328)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libtiff, libtiff-devel and / or libtiff-tools packages.
