Synopsis

The remote Slackware Linux host is missing a security update to tftp-hpa.

Description

The version of tftp-hpa installed on the remote host is prior to 5.4. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SSA:2026-188-01 advisory.

 New tftp-hpa packages are available for Slackware 15.0 and -current to fix security issues.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the tftp-hpa security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the affected tftp-hpa package.
