Synopsis

The remote SUSE host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLES12 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2026:2758-1 advisory.

 This update for python-pip fixes the following issues

 - CVE-2026-3219: pip doesn't reject concatenated ZIP (bsc#1262429).
 - CVE-2026-6357: pip self-update functionality can import newly installed modules after wheel installation (bsc#1263442).

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the SUSE security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected python-pip and / or python3-pip packages.
