Synopsis

The remote Slackware Linux host is missing a security update to libevent.

Description

The version of libevent installed on the remote host is prior to 2.1.13. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SSA:2026-182-01 advisory.

 New libevent packages are available for Slackware 15.0 and -current to fix security issues.

Solution

Upgrade the affected libevent package.
