The remote SUSE host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote SUSE Linux SLED15 / SLED_SAP15 / SLES15 / SLES_SAP15 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SUSE-SU-2026:2731-1 advisory.

This update for editorconfig-core-c fixes the following issue:

- CVE-2026-40489: improper use of `strcpy` can lead to a stack buffer overflow (bsc#1262131).

Solution

Update the affected libeditorconfig0 package.
